We've packed WE8THIS™ with everything your body needs

At WE8THIS™, we care about your health and wellbeing. We understand the importance of a balanced diet that meets your daily nutritional needs. That's why we've created a delicious and nutritionally complete food in powdered form, so you don't have to worry about meal planning or missing out on important nutrients.

WE8THIS™ is

WE8THIS™ is chock-full of protein, healthy fats, carb and fiber, plus 27 essential vitamins and minerals, 20 amino acids, phytonutrients and probiotic.

Rich in 27 essential vitamins and minerals

Packed with phytonutrients to support your overall health

Completely lactose-free and contains ZERO animal products

Our formula also meets the USDA Dietary Guidelines and Daily Value (DV) requirements for all macro and micronutrients[1], based on a 2,000 calorie-a-day diet for an average adult's general nutrition intake.

Balanced Ratio 40:34:22:4– Macronutrients optimised for your body’s natural processes

The 4 types of macros – protein, fat, carbohydrate and fiber – make up the foods we eat and provide the body with energy. More often than not, we take too much or too little in our daily meals, leading to an imbalanced diet. WE8THIS™ is formulated to address this issue – our ratios are not only within the parameters of healthy eating guidelines, but they're also designed to optimise your body's natural processes, ensuring you feel your best all day long.

WE8THIS 40% Protein 34% Carbs 22% Fats 4% Fibre

WE8THIS™ energy ratio from each meal is made up of:

40% Protein

Our body needs proteins to build, repair and maintain tissues, facilitating cellular communication, catalysing enzymatic reactions, supporting immune functions, regulating metabolism, and more. Amino acids are the most basic units of protein. Some amino acids are important for life while others are crucial for good health. Any food intake or diet must contain a significant amount of protein.

34% Carbohydrate

Carbohydrates, or carbs, are made up of sugar, starch, and fiber. They are the body’s main source of energy. The right carbohydrates will help to fuel your brain, kidneys, heart muscles, and central nervous system, keeping your body running optimally.

22% Essential fats

Fatty acids or essential fats are important for life and good health, which means including sources of fat in your diet is crucial. Fat is a way for our body to store energy. Fat helps to protect the nerves and organs, regulates hormones, aids in nutrient absorption and maintains body temperature.

4% Fiber

Fiber is commonly classified as soluble, which dissolves in water, or insoluble, which doesn't dissolve. WE8THIS™ contains both types of fiber to support a better gut health microbiota, encourage better cardiovascular health[2], promote better bowel movements and prevent constipation.

Nutrition in WE8THIS™

Protein

Protein in WE8THIS™ : Pea protein and rice peptide

WE8THIS™ is formulated to meet up to 40% of the daily value of your protein intake to cover basic needs and prevent protein deficiency[1]. Our formulation is derived from three primary ingredients: pea protein, brown rice protein, and rice peptide to ensure a balanced range of all essential amino acids. Pea is a complete protein source[3].

Why peas and rice protein

Easily digestible

  • Can be quickly absorbed by your body and used to support muscle growth, repair and recovery.
  • Less likely to cause digestive issues such as bloating, gas, or stomach upset.

Contains all essential amino acids

  • Rice protein – abundant in cysteine and methionine
  • Pea protein – high lysine content

Our unique blend of pea and rice protein delivers all essential amino acids providing you with a powerful protein source that supports optimal health and fitness while remaining vegan-friendly. Based on a daily 2,000kcal intake, WE8THIS™ will provide 33gm of protein intake, providing a good amount for optimal health as well as building and maintaining a healthy body. Additionally, protein is more satiating (appetite suppressing)[4] compared to other macronutrient and WE8THIS™’s formulation can help to reduce unwanted hunger pangs[5].

WE8THIS™ amino acid profile

Amino acids are an indispensable element of life for all living organisms, including humans, as they serve as the fundamental building blocks of proteins. Proteins are crucial as they constitute a remarkable 20% of our body weight, surpassed only by water in terms of significance. In fact, an astounding 10kg of amino acids are present in the body of a person weighing 50kg. Therefore, it is imperative to ensure adequate consumption of these essential nutrients to sustain a healthy body.

Essential amino acids cannot be produced by the body and must come from food sources. Non-essential amino acids can be produced by the body. As we age, our body’s ability to produce non-essential amino acids becomes less efficient.

WE8THIS™ provides these essential amino acids:

  • Histidine
  • Isoleucine
  • Leucine
  • Lysine
  • Methionine
  • Phenylalanine
  • Valine
  • Tryptophan
  • Threonine

WE8THIS™ provides these non-essential amino acids:

  • Alanine
  • Arginine
  • Asparagine
  • Aspartic acid
  • Cysteine
  • Glutamines
  • Glycine
  • Glutamic acid
  • Proline
  • Serine
  • Tyrosine

Carbohydrate

Carbohydrate in WE8THIS™: Powdered oats, brown rice and 26 multi-grains

The carbohydrates in WE8THIS™ are from powdered oats, brown rice and 26 multi-grains.

Oats

Oats are a fantastic natural source of various vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and phytonutrients, making them more than just a source of carbohydrates. In fact, the addition of oat powder is one of the key factors that sets WE8THIS™ apart. Oats contain beta-glucan, which has been shown to reduce low-density lipoprotein (LDL) or "bad" cholesterol levels in the blood.

The oat powder used in WE8THS™ has been ground to a fine texture, which makes it easily absorbed and digested, providing you with a clean, sustainable source of energy until your next meal.

Multi-grain

Multi-grains provide a variety of nutrients. By consuming a variety of grains, you can ensure that you are getting a wide range of nutrients, such as fiber, vitamins, and minerals.

Multi-grains promote satiety. Multi-grain foods are often higher in fiber and protein than single-grain foods. Multi-grain foods can help with weight management because they are more filling than refined grain foods. This means that they can help you feel full for longer, which can prevent overeating and help with weight management.

WE8THIS™ does not use Maltodextrin or Erythritol!

Maltodextrin and Erythritol are often used as fillers or bulking agents in powdered foods because they are relatively cheap and provide bulk without adding a significant amount of calories or sweetness.

However, there are several reasons why they may not be the best choice for consumers:

Lack of nutritional value

Maltodextrin and Erythritol add bulk to food, providing only carbohydrates for energy and nothing else, and offer no nutritional benefits. These two ingredients do not contribute any vitamins, minerals, or other beneficial nutrients. This means you as a consumer are shelling out more money than you should to buy products containing maltodextrin and erythritol.

High glycemic index

Maltodextrin, despite being a "complex" carbohydrate, has a high glycemic index (GI)[6], causing a burst of energy that is quickly followed by a decline in energy levels after consumption. This is far from ideal for individuals with busy schedules and an active lifestyle. High GI can be problematic for people with diabetes or those trying to maintain stable blood sugar levels.

Digestive issues

Erythritol can cause digestive issues such as bloating, gas, and diarrhea in some people, especially when consumed in large amounts.

Unnatural processing

Both Maltodextrin and Erythritol are highly processed, and the methods used to produce them are not always natural or sustainable.

With that in mind, here at WE8THIS™, we do not use Maltodextrin or Erythritol as a filler to bulk up our product, ensuring that you’ll get the most out of your hard earned money.

Essential fats

Essential fats in WE8THIS: Essential fatty acids

WE8THIS™ is a nutritionally complete meal replacement that stands out from the crowd due to its unique blend of 26 multi-grains, carefully formulated to provide optimal amounts of essential fats. With 22% of total energy coming from fats, WE8THIS™ is a great option of sustained energy for individuals looking for a convenient and nutrient-dense meal to optimise daily nutrition.

WE8THIS™ contains two important essential fatty acids (EFAs) that our bodies need:

  • Omega-6 (linoleic acid/LA)
  • Omega-3 (alpha-linolenic acid/ALA)[7].

WE8THIS™ uses a blend of 26 multi-grains that provides these EFAs, as well as other healthy omega-3 and omega-6 fats that are good for you.

It's important to note that both of these essential fats play a crucial role in supporting various bodily functions, including brain function, cardiovascular health, and inflammation regulation. By including essential fats in our product, we want to make it a valuable addition to your health and wellness routine.

We’ve included Medium-Chain Triglycerides (MCTs), which are an excellent source of sustained and energy-rich fuel, perfect for people with busy lifestyles. MCTs are easily absorbed and metabolised by the body and are quickly converted into energy. Additionally, MCTs are not susceptible to oxidation and rancidity, which means they don't contribute to the formation of atherosclerotic plaques that can increase the risk of cardiovascular disease. This makes our product a healthy and efficient source of energy that you can feel good about consuming. By choosing our product, you can ensure that you are fueling your body with a nutritious and beneficial source of energy.

Fibre

The good fibre in WE8THIS™

Consuming a balanced diet that includes adequate amounts of fiber is crucial for maintaining a healthy digestive system and ensuring overall wellbeing. WE8THIS™ provides a rich supply of both soluble and insoluble fiber, sourced naturally from citrus. Our formula is carefully crafted to help ensure the formation of normal, solid stools in healthy individuals, which is essential for maintaining optimal digestive health. This means you will enjoy the benefits of increased fiber without worrying about digestive discomfort or irregular bowel movements.

The fiber in our formulation also includes intact native pectin, a soluble fiber. Here are the benefits of pectin:

Supports digestive health

Citrus pectin is a prebiotic fiber that can support the growth of beneficial gut bacteria. This can improve overall digestive health and reduce the risk of conditions like constipation, diarrhea, and inflammatory bowel disease. Pectin helps to soften stool and speed up the transit time of materials through the digestive tract. [8][9]

Lowers cholesterol

Citrus pectin can bind to cholesterol in the digestive tract and help reduce levels of LDL cholesterol (the "bad" cholesterol) by binding to bile acids in the intestine, which prevents them from being reabsorbed and promotes their elimination from the body. [10][11][12]

Vitamins & Minerals

Vitamins & Minerals in WE8THIS™: Essential micronutrients

Micronutrients are essential nutrients that are required by the body in small amounts. These nutrients include vitamins, minerals, and trace elements, and they play a crucial role in maintaining good health and preventing disease.

Vitamins

Vitamins are organic compounds that are required in small amounts for normal growth, development, and maintenance of the body. Vitamins are essential to:

  • the immune system
  • brain functions
  • vision
  • skin health
  • bones
  • muscles

Minerals

Minerals are inorganic compounds that are required in small amounts for normal bodily functions. They play a critical role in various bodily processes, including:

  • the formation and maintenance of strong bones
  • the transmission of nerve impulses
  • the regulation of fluid balance
  • helping with the production of hormones and enzymes

WE8THIS™ is a nutritionally complete food that stands out from other products due to its comprehensive formulation. Unlike protein-based products in the market that provides only macronutrients, WE8THIS™ goes above and beyond by offering a comprehensive formula fortified with a blend of 27 essential vitamins and minerals, which is then combined with naturally sourced nutrients from our ingredients. This ensures that it provides a complete nutrition profile that meets the demands of modern-day lifestyles. Therefore, WE8THIS™ is not only a great source of macronutrients but also a good source for micronutrients that can support optimal health and well-being.

For values of micronutrients found in WE8THIS™, see the nutritional facts below.

Probiotic

Probiotic in WE8THIS™: For getter gut health

Probiotics are ‘good’ bacteria which, when consumed in adequate amounts, may have health benefits, particularly for the gut. Not all probiotics are the same and their efficacy can vary depending on the specific strain of probiotic consumed. This is important because the gut microbiota, which is the community of microorganisms that inhabit the human digestive tract, plays a crucial role in maintaining overall health.

WE8THIS™ contains the probiotic Bifidobacterium longum BB536, which is regulatory approved by the FDA with the Generally Recognised as Safe (GRAS) status for foods in 2009, and Japan FOSHU status in 1996. Bifidobacterium longum BB536 possesses a proven track record of safety and clinical efficacy in improving gastrointestinal, immunological and infectious conditions, as demonstrated in more than 220 scientific studies (as of March 2022).

Bifidobacterium longum BB536 was chosen because:

Stability

Bifidobacterium longum BB536 has been shown to be more stable than other probiotics, which means it is better able to survive the harsh conditions of the digestive system and reach the intestine alive. This is important because probiotics must be alive to provide health benefits.

Adhesion

Bifidobacterium longum BB536 has a higher level of adhesion to intestinal cells compared to other probiotics, which means it is better able to stick to the lining of the gut and colonise the intestine.

Improving digestive health[13]

Bifidobacterium longum BB536 has been shown to improve digestion and prevent digestive disorders like diarrhea, constipation, and inflammatory bowel disease.

Boosting immunity[14]

This probiotic has been shown to stimulate the immune system, reducing the risk of infections and allergies.

Supporting healthy weight management [15]

Research has shown that this probiotic strain may help to regulate appetite and promote weight loss.

Preventing infections[16]

Bifidobacterium longum BB536 has been shown to inhibit the growth of harmful bacteria in the gut, reducing the risk of infections.

WE8THIS™ contains of 8 × 10₁₀ CFUs of Bifidobacterium longum BB536. CFU stands for "colony forming units," which is a measure of the number of viable cells or microorganisms in a sample.

8 x 10₁₀ CFUs means there are 8 billion colony forming units in the sample being measured.

Phytonutrients

Phytonutrients in WE8THIS™ : Antioxidants and more

Phytonutrients, also known as phytochemicals, are biologically active compounds found in plant-based foods that provide health benefits to humans. Phytonutrients are important due to their vital biological functions within the body, including acting as antioxidants and anti-inflammatory agents.

Phytonutrients can act as antioxidants, which protect cells from damage caused by free radicals. They can also have anti-inflammatory properties, which help to reduce inflammation in the body. These properties play a crucial role in safeguarding cells from potential damage. Research has shown that regular consumption of phytonutrients can contribute to maintaining good health and reducing the risk of chronic diseases.

We felt these phytonutrients are important and decided to include them in our formulations. These phytonutrients are:

Lutein[17]

  • Promotes eye health by protecting the macula from oxidative stress
  • Reduces the risk of age-related macular degeneration
  • May improve cognitive function and memory

Lycopene[18][19]

  • Acts as an antioxidant and protects against oxidative damage in the body
  • May improve heart health by reducing the risk of cardiovascular diseases
  • May help reduce inflammation in the body

Zeaxanthin [20]

  • Helps to protect the eyes by absorbing harmful blue light and reducing oxidative damage
  • May improve cognitive function and memory
  • May help reduce the risk of age-related macular degeneration.
